Cebu is home to some of the best beach destinations in the Philippines and Plantation Bay Resort and Spa is definitely one of the best resorts in Cebu. It is just 34 minutes away from Mactan Cebu International Airport and about an hour away from Cebu City. [My review made it to their website under R. Velayo]

THE RESORT AND LOCATION
Plantation Bay Resort and Spa is situated in Mairgondon, Mactan Island, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. This high-end beautiful resort is like no other, it's one of a kind and a class of its own! It has a number of saltwater swimming lagoons surrounding the whole resort making you forget there is an actual beach, so you do not need to wait for a high tide to have a good swim. They too have freshwater swimming pools, private beach, shops and specialty booths, sports and recreation, spa and saloon, dive shop, gazebos, restaurants, etc.

Plantation Bay Beach - this is the actual beach but you don't actually need to wait for the tide to go high as this beautiful resort has a number of swimming lagoons with saltwaters for that same beach feeling.

PLANTATION BAY PACKAGES
Plantation Bay offers several packages such as Daytripper Adventure Package, Conferences, Weddings, Tours and Excursions and other add-on services. When we went there during our high school get-together, we availed of the Daytripper Package which was only Php1800 as we were able to reach 20. The package rate below 20 persons is Php2500. Our package include: free use of pools, lunch buffet(since we get there on a weekend), 30-minute use of bicycles, 15-minute use of paddle boat and kayak, wall climbing, foosball, air hockey and table tennis. Most or all of us did not avail the latter 4 activities as we were too busy catching up and enjoying the swim and time together. We did have a lot of fun biking, swimming, kayaking, paddle boating at the lagoons and pools.

Plantation Bay 2020 Leblon Hall Poolside Rooms. When we went back there in October 2020, we stayed at the lagoon side of Leblon Hall. Such a great stay as the saltwater lagoon is just steps away from the room.

For daytrippers, you are allowed to use the resort from 9:00am to 5:00pm. If you are staying overnight, check-in time is 3:00pm and checkout time is up to 12:00pm(noon). REUNION WITH HIGH SCHOOL BATCHMATES
As we grow older, one of the things we love to do is to connect with our long lost friends, colleagues and batchmates. It was exactly what we did recently. Despite our busy schedule, we always find time to connect to catch things up or to simply enjoy each other's company. The trigger of this reunion was the arrival of our batchmates Myrna and Lydia. So, thanks Myrns and Ledeng for the souvenirs and thanks too to all my batchmates and their guests who were there to spend time with us. It was nice seeing you all. On our way home, we were treated for a dinner (yes we ate breakfast food for dinner) by Rose and Marconi, so thanks guys and later that night, got the chance to meet up our other batchmates for a videoke session, so thanks to Jeany for the treat.
HOW TO GO TO PLANTATION BAY RESORT AND SPA
The easiest is to ride a taxi or book a Grab for Plantation Bay Resort. The resort is just 34 minutes away from Mactan International Airport and about an hour from Cebu City.
If you go there via your vehicle, the easiest route is to take the old bridge also known as Mactan-Mandaue Bridge then from the Lapu-Lapu side of the bridge, just go straight until you reach the corner for Plantation Bay Resort. See the map below for direction or download the Waze app to navigate your way there.
