Santa Fe, Bantayan Island is my favorite beach destination in Cebu Province. This beautiful paradise island in far northern Cebu is blessed with beautiful white sand powdery beach with longer shorelines and is home to Virgin Island, Camp Sawi, Paradise Beach and Skydive Greater Cebu. It will take you 4 to 4.5 hours ride from Cebu North Bus Terminal.

BY BUS: Go to North Bus Terminal (you can go there as early as 5:00 am or even earlier) in Subangdaku, Mandaue City and ride a bus going to Hagnaya Port. We went there on a private vehicle. Just prepare P200 for the bus fare (one way). At the port of Hagnaya in San Remigio, buy a ticket bound for Santa Fe. The fare is 180 pesos (May 2015). (Update 2017: There are now direct buses plying the route from Cebu North Bus Terminal to Santa Fe and vice versa, fare could be higher)

BY CAR: If you're from Cebu or if you have rented a car in Cebu, go straight to Hagnaya Port in San Remigio then once there, park your car nearby. There are ushers that will offer you parking spaces for rent. You can then purchase a ticket for Santa Fe at Hagnaya Port. Fare for the ferry is 180 pesos.

BY TAXI: I do not recommend taking a taxi for long distance trip as it will be too costly especially if you are traveling alone but if you are not on a budget, you can get a taxi or book a Grab anywhere within Metro Cebu area. Tell the driver to drop you off at Hagnaya Port then once there, buy a ticket for the boat bound for Santa Fe.

BY RORO BOAT: PALOMPON LEYTE TO BOGO CITY, CEBU
You can also go to Bantayan Island via RORO boat from Palompon Leyte to Bogo City. From Bogo City, transfer to a bus bound for Hagnaya Port, San Remigio Cebu then buy a ticket for a boat bound for Santa Fe, Bantayan Island. Daily schedules: Bogo City, Cebu to Palompon, Leyte – Daily at 12:00NN and Palompon, Leyte to Bogo City, Cebu – Daily at 7:30 AM

GETTING AROUND
Once you get to Santa Fe, the gateway to Bantayan Island, hire a tricycle to bring you to your accommodation. If you have not booked in advance, you can ask the tricycle driver, he can recommend a place for you.
