Summer Outing With High School Batchmates in Luyang, Carmen

It's that time of the year when most of us have enough time to bond and get together. Last year, me and my high school batchmates went to Camotes Islands and this year, we went to one of our batchmate's family's beach house in Luyang, Carmen, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, so thanks to Christian and Lalaine for accommodating us.

Seemed like our summer getaway has now become an annual event as this is the second time me and my high school batchmates got together over food and beers, catching things up, sharing silly and serious talks and unlimited laughter. How about you when was the last time you see your batchmates? Yes, I had a get-together with my college batchmates as well.

Always take time to disconnect to connect. Drop your phones and computers once in a while and spend quality time with your loved ones and friends. Thanks to all my batchmates for heeding this summer reunion and thanks a lot to Christian and Lalaine for accommodating us in their nice beach house!

BEACH RESORTS IN LUYANG, CARMEN, CEBU

In my opinion, Luyang is the beach destination in Carmen. It is home to Marick Beach Resort, one of the fast rising beach destinations in the municipality. Aside from my batchmate's beach house and Marick Beach Resort, some of the beach resorts in Luyang, Carmen are: BPC Beach Resort, The Cebu Beach House, Steffie's Beach Resort, MTG Beach Extension, etc. There are also a lot of beach resorts along the road on your way to Catmon, one of those is San Pan Beach Resort on Barangay Puente.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN CARMEN

Carmen is home to Cebu Safari and is one of the most visited towns in northern Cebu these days. Aside from Cebu Safari, Carmen is also home to Durano Eco Farm and Spring Resort, Mt Uragay Spring Resort, Middle Earth Mountain Resort, Mangitngit Falls, Our Lady of Manaog Church, St Benedict Monastery, Mt Calvary Stations of the Cross, etc.

HOW TO GO TO MARICK BEACH RESORT AND OTHER BEACH RESORTS IN LUYANG, CARMEN

If you want to go to Luyang beach resorts via private vehicle, see map below for direction or download the Waze App. The place is just a few meters away from Bastap, a bus stop station of farther northern trips.
If you have to commute your way there, go to North Bus Terminal and ride a bus/van bound for Carmen, Catmon, Sogod or any north-bound buses. Disembark at Carmen Public Market and charter a habal habal (motorbike) to bring you to your desired beach destination in Luyang Carmen.

HOW TO GO TO CEBU SAFARI IN CARMEN

The best way to reach Cebu Safari and Adventure Park is by private vehicle, although taking public transportation is doable albeit time-consuming. From the Cebu North Bus Terminal in Mandaue City, take any northbound bus passing by Carmen and alight across the junction before Carmen National High School. Hire a habal-habal motorbike (PHP 40 per person) to take you up the 9-km stretch of mountain road to the zoo. Total travel time will take two to three hours. (Source: Cebu Safari).
