How to go to Basdaku/White Beach - Moalboal, Cebu

The Beautiful Basdaku/White Beach in Moalboal, Cebu

As was mentioned in my other blog, Moalboal is one of the best beach destinations in the province of Cebu and is home to the popular diving spot, the Pescador Island. Basdaku and Panagsama Beach are 2 of the most beautiful beaches of the municipality.

Basdaku Beach or White Beach - Moalboal, Cebu

Basdaku beach aka White Beach is situated in Barangay Saavedra in the town of Moalboal in the southwestern part of Cebu. With its white sand beach, clear waters and long shorelines, it's no wonder why this beach is being flocked by tourists, not just during summer but at all seasons.

Fresh from our Villa Budlot overnight stay in Sitio Budlot in Barangay Bala of the same town, we separated from the group and embarked on a trip around south starting from Basdaku.

PLACES TO STAY AND BEACH RESORTS IN MOALBOAL
As stated earlier, there are 2 popular beach destinations in Moalboal, the Panagsama Beach and Basdaku or White Beach, so when making a reservation, check out the address. I have not been to Pescador Island but I think the starting point to the island is at Panagsama Beach which is as equally as beautiul and white sand beach as Basdaku (yes, I had been to Panagsama Beach too). Some of the beach resorts in Moalboal are Cabana Beach ResortDacozy Beach Resort,Bonita OasisMoalboal Beach ResortClub Serena Beach ResortQuo Vadis Dive ResortKiss Diving MoalboalMoalboal TropicsPescadores Seaview SuitesMoalboal T Breeze Coastal Resort,Moalboal Shaka Water Sports and ResortParrot ResortThe Blue Orchid ResortDolphin-House Resort-SPA-Diving, etc.

BASDAKU BEACH
When booking for a place to stay in Basdaku, remember to check out the address with Saadvedra in it or check out the map below as your guide. If you want, you can rent a tent there or bring your own tent and just pay for space rental. If you intend to stay there for just an hour or 2 just like we did, you can leave your things on the seashore. This beach reminds me so much of Tingko Beach in Alcoy and Casay Beach in Dalaguete where you can just enter in, pay a minimal entrance fee and enjoy the beach. If you are a beach lover, you will surely love Basdaku/White Beach, just like we do.

Baskdaku or White Beach
We had a short stay, so we just leave our things on the seashore while enjoying our time.

MOALBOAL TOWN
If Ronda has Ronda loves you, Mandaue has I am Mandaue, Liloan has Live Love Liloan and Samboan has Siempre Samboan, Moalboal has Dive Moalboal, for obvious reason, the Pescador Island.

After a quick but satisfying swim, the tricycle driver that waited for us dropped us off at Moalboal town proper. As I disembarked from the tricycle, the church ruins winked at me and said "Hi" (lol). Because I am fascinated by old structures and historical sites, I asked my niece and her bf to stay for a while and explore the place for a few minutes. We then had our dinner and rode a mulit-cab to the next town of Badian for an overnight stay in Kawasan Falls
