Tops Lookout - Busay, Cebu City, Philippines

Amazing Cebu City Lights at Tops

The Tops Lookout is one of Cebu City's tourist attractions that is located in one of the mountainous barangay of Busay (just like Sirao Flower Farms/Sirao Peak). This place is popular among local tourists due to its mild climate, perfect for lovers, family, friends and barkada (group) for a much deserved relaxation and most of all for getting a bird's eye view of the amazing Cebu City lights. 


BEST TIME In my opinion, the best time to get there is from 4:00pm to 5:00pm as there are certain areas along the way that is too dark if you go there after the sun sets. If you want to go there in the morning, you'll be able to see Cebu City's skyline but it would be best to get there at night to see Cebu City's amazing array of lights.



The last time I was there was in the late 90's and it's good to know that they haven't renovated the place that much, if they do, it could be very minimal for me to not notice it at all.

How to go to SM City Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu, South Bus Terminal and North Bus Terminal


You can go around Cebu via jeepney, bus, tricycle, "trisikad", motorcycle and most conveniently through a taxi.

BY JEEPNEY (PUJ) The most common transportation in Cebu that leads you from point A to B is through a public utility jeepney (PUJ). If you are a local tourist, you won't find it hard riding a jeepney but if you are a foreigner, you need to know how to read the signs and where the route is. Jeepneys are numbered according to their route/destination.


As most local and foreign tourists are booking accommodations in Cebu City area, I will focus more on where to board a jeepney in the city center.

CEBU TO BOHOL IN ONE DAY
It was one regular Saturday when one of my friends in college sent me a guide link to Cadapdapan Rice Terraces and Can-Umantad Falls. She asked me if I wanted to go with her the following day, Sunday. After checking the link, I was in awe with what I saw and at the back of my mind, I was already saying yes but before making a decision I asked her if we will be back on the same day as I have a scheduled meeting every Monday at 8:00am for my work. Since she was amenable to going back to Cebu on the same day, Sunday, she booked a roundtrip ticket for us.
