Thanks to my sis and bro-in-law for bringing us back to this beautiful resort last Valentine's Day (2/14/21). It was so good to be back there spending quality time with my family, relaxing underneath the coconut trees, enjoying the cool sea breeze, star gazing at the gazebos, swimming with loved ones at the beach and at the pool, among others. OLD POST (2017)

Aside from our earlier family summer getaway, for the past two weeks, I have been blessed to be invited by my younger siblings to go with them on their summer getaway. Last Easter Sunday, my sister and brother-in-law invited me to go with them in Club Fort Med and just this week, my brother and sister-in-law invited me to join them on their anniversary summer getaway at Costabella Tropical Beach Resort, a high-end resort situated in Buyong, Lapulapu City, Cebu. The property's prices are a little higher compared to distant resorts in the southern and northern part of Cebu but the amenities, the security and the friendly staff make your stay at Costabella all worth it.

THE ROOMS



The resort has several rooms to accommodate you and most rooms have private balconies, a perfect spot to get a bird's eye view of the resort from atop (if you are staying on the 5th or 6th floor). The view of the sea from the top is spectacular! Rooms are classified from Superior Cottage, Superior North Wing, Deluxe Poolside, etc. and I believe the room rates come with free breakfast. Check room rates here. Costabella Tropical Beach Resort also offers free use of gym, billiards, table tennis and bicycle, etc. The Guest Relations Desk is at the lobby to address your needs. The property also has a Filipino Spa to reinvigorate you, it is situated very near the gate before reaching the gym. 

THE POOLS

The resort has 2 main pools where the other one has a slide and lifeguards are very visible in the pool area. 

THE BEACH 

There are several lounge areas on the beach front where you can sit, relax, unwind and enjoy the beach, the sun and the sand. You might also want to indulge in several aqua sports activities such as parasailing, jet ski, banana boat ride, island discovery, etc.

Farther along there is a pavement that somehow fenced the resort from other properties which gives added security to the resort aside from the security personnel who are hard on duty.

THE RESTAURANT

Not sure if it is on a regular basis but it is so nice to hear the soothing sound of the band serenading us with our requested song while enjoying our dinner. (Yes, you can request a song for as long as they have it in their repertoire) 

GETTING THERE

Hire a taxi and ask to be dropped at Costabella Tropical Beach Resort. The property is in Buyong, Lapulapu City, a few minutes away from Bluewaters Maribago and not so far from Mactan Cebu International Airport.
