Singapore - 8 Days Adventure with the Kids

Have you been to Singapore?

Singaporeas you all know is an island state country in Southeast Asia and is one of the most progressive countries in the region and one of the most expensive cities in the world. In August of 2008, I visited Singapore and it was my first ever out of the country trip and last May of 2016, me together with my older sister and my younger sister (with her kids) went back to Singapore to visit my younger sister's husband who used to work there.
Prior to our departure, the sister of my sister's husband had arranged for our accommodation at Holiday Flats in Pasir Ris for 3 days. When we reached there, we were not able to enter in as we arrived there after check in time which was around 7:00pm to 8:00pm. You can just imagine how tired we were then carrying our luggages especially my younger sister who carried with her a one-month-worth of luggage for her and for her kids. Luckily for us, we had our brother's-in-law…

Danao City - Gateway to Camotes Islands

Danao City, Cebu, Philippines

Danao City is one of the cities in Cebu Province located in the northern part next to the town of Compostela and before the municipality of Carmen. Danao City is synonymous to Durano City. The mayors there are all Duranos from one generation to another.

Danao City is well known for its gun & cement industries and "tinap-anan" (smoked fish). It is the gateway to Camotes Islands. If you want to relax before going to Camotes, this is the nearest city to book an accommodation.

There are some shopping centers in the city center but unlike Cebu City, malls in Danao City are smaller. Check out Gaisano Mall and Prince Warehouse or if you want, visit their public market instead.
1. Visit Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Church - located in the city center, just a walking distance from the seaport of Danao.
2. Visit Danasan Eco Adventure Park - located in the mountainous barangay of Danao. This is a perfect place for…

Sirao Peak

Have you been to Sirao?

Sirao is a far flung mountainous barangay in Cebu City and is famous for its flower farms but did you know that you can do other things aside from visiting the flower gardens?

Last November 1st, we traversed to Sirao after visiting our relatives' grave in Guba (a neighboring barangay). It is our second time to visit Sirao and this time, we did not go to the flower farms, our nephew brought us to a relaxing place just 1 to 2 minutes away from the popular tourist spot.

The site is such a nice getaway from the hussle and bussle of the city, to relax, unwind and enjoy the blow of fresh air. Some pre-nup pictorials are done there and with the view and the cool breeze, it's no wonder.
We picnicked under the shades of the old trees. Our lunch included a viand called "uskan" (lol) or "head of goat" meat.

Roaming around the surroundings,
I noticed traces of trashes signifying that there are quite a numb…
