San Remigio, Cebu - An Off-the-beaten Path in the North
San Remigio is an off-the-beaten path in Northern Cebu or is it? It is the starting point to Bantayan Island, a popular tourist spot in the far northern part of Cebu. Hagnaya Port in Barangay Hagnaya is the point of origin when you go to the beautiful island of Bantayan but did you know that San Remigio is also one of the best beach destinations in Cebu? It is home to Cebu's longest shoreline. San Remigio is situated in the northwestern part of Cebu and is more than 2 hours ride from Cebu North Bus Terminal.

Just like Basdaku Beach in Moalboal and Tingko Beach in Alcoy, San Remigio has also a comparable white sand beaches and long shorelines.

GETTING THERE
- Go to North Bus Terminal
- Ride a bus bound for San Remigio, Cebu. Fare is P150-P175 one way
- Tell the driver or the bus steward to drop you off at your desired destination. As we went there on a private vehicle, if I were to commute my way there, I will disembark at the San Remigio town proper then hire a tricycle or charter a motorbike (habal-habal) to bring me to my resort of choice. For Hagnaya Beach Resort, I think you will pass by the property before reaching the Port of Hagnaya (it is very close to the port). Elegant Beach Resort and San Remigio Beach Club are on the same route about 3 minutes away from each other. Please see the map to navigate your way to San Remigio, Cebu. You can also go to San Remigio via Tabuelan.
