Digyo, Mahaba, Apid & Himokilan Islands - the paradise islands in Leyte!

This is another out of town invitation from one of my college friends (Jenny) whose husband (Dondon) happens to be a resident of Hindang, Leyte. Together with Jen's and Dondon's colleagues in COA, I joined them on their Cuatro Islas trip. Thank you so much Jen & Don and the rest of the Dayola family for the accommodation while we're there!
DIGYO ISLAND The island paradise of Digyo is our first stop. Among the four (4) islands, this to me is somewhat like Boracay but unlike Boracay, the place is not very commercialized. With its white sand and cr…

Windsurfing at Parientes Watersports in Hinunangan and The Twin Islands

Windsurfing at Parientes Watersports and Recreation - Hinunangan, Southern Leyte
My batchmates and friends from college invited me to join them on their trip to Cuatro Islas and Lai, my travel buddy from my recent trip to Cadapdapan Rice Terraces and Can-Umantad Falls told me she will be on a side trip to do windsurfing and island hopping to the Twin Islands of San Pedro (Cabugan Grande) and San Pablo (Cabugan Chico) in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte - another province in the island of Leyte. As I have not tried windsurfing before and I wanted to visit the twin islands, I went with her on that side trip while my other friends, Jenny and Don together with their colleagues went home to Cebu at 11:00am that day.

We stayed at Dayola's family in Hindang, Leyte and since Hinunangan is far from the place we stayed at, Dondon drove us to the pier of Hilongos at past 1:00am to catch a bus bound for Hinunangan. Thanks Don for that!

Lake Danao, Summer Outing and Finally Camotes Islands!

THE AMAZING LAKE DANAO The wonders of God's Creation!
Lake Danao is definitely a must visit when in Camotes Islands and by visit I meant, rent a speedboat, sakanaw or kayak to cruise and have fun while enjoying the wonders of God's amazing creation. The lake is too wide and vast that you will appreciate God's works of wonders all the more. In the middle of the lake, you will see a small island where you can have an amazing set of photographs while enjoying the company of your friends and family and if you are lucky enough like we were, your speedboat/sakanaw drivers might be your best photograhers for the day as evident by our pictures below.

If you have not been to Camotes, I highly recommend the place. Lake Danao is situated in the island of Pacijan, one of the 3 main islands in Camotes, the other 2 being Poro and Ponson islands. To enjoy the grandeur of the lake, you need to cruise over to the other side and below are the lake park fees.

Boracay - your slice of paradise!

Boracay Summer Getaway!
Boracay is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Philippines. Though the place is very crowded during summer, Boracay is undoubtedly one of the best beach destinations in the country. With its wide shoreline, pristine white fine powdery sands, the island of Boracay is definitely one of the best places to relax, unwind, chill, party and enjoy the wonders of God's creation!
The Island of Boracay is situated in the province of Aklan and is divided into 3 main stations, stations 1 to 3. Among the stations, Station 2 is the most lively. The place comes to life during nighttime.

BORACAY SUNSETS When in Boracay, remember to catch the beautiful sunsets while strolling along the beach barefoot among the sea of people enjoying the beautiful scenery.

BORACAY BEACH Per my conversation with one of the attendants at Henann gift shop, during the months of March and April, mosses are aplenty on Boracay beach.
